AHEC/MEDRelief Staffing CEO Named Entrepreneur of the Year
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program recently named Marilyn H. Sackett, M.Ed., RT(R), FASRT, the Houston area Business Services Entrepreneur of the Year. Marilyn is the President/CEO of Advanced Health Education Center/MEDRelief Staffing. The awards are presented annually in a black tie ceremony to honor individuals with the vision, determination, and leadership to create the companies that produce new industries, new jobs, and new opportunities. Honorees represent various industry segments, and are chosen by an independent panel of judges from among all nominations received. Judges evaluated the nominees based on business productivity, future plans, innovative approaches, personal history, philosophy toward employees, social responsibility, and entrepreneurial spirit. As a regional winner, Sackett becomes eligible for National Entrepreneur of the Year, which will be announced in November in Palm Springs, California.

MEDRelief Expands To Respiratory Therapy And Ancillary Services
MEDRelief Staffing, a leading staffing company specializing in nurses and imaging professionals, announces its expansion into respiratory therapy and ancillary services. Staffing Coordinator Brenda Cossey is heading up this desk.

MEDRelief Forms New Partnership
MEDRelief Staffing is pleased to announce the recent partnership formed by TeamStaff Rx, and MEDRelief Staffing. The Houston offices of TeamStaff Rx have been closed, and MEDRelief Staffing has entered into an exclusive contract to service TeamStaff clients.

MEDRelief Staffing’s travel division is experiencing tremendous growth and has now placed technologists in all areas of the nation, from New York to Hawaii. The travel division has also increased its presence across Texas.

Advanced Health/MEDRelief Staffing Hold Student Forum
Advanced Health Education Center and MEDRelief Staffing are pleased to announce that the Annual Student Forum held on April 24 was a huge success, drawing about 100 graduating radiology students from the greater Houston area to the building for a day of learning. Students were given several helpful hints and valuable insight to the field of imaging science. Students were greeted by several AHEC and MEDRelief staffers and were treated to lunch and a graduation celebration.

Technologists Complete MEDRelief Sponsored Training
MEDRelief Staffing congratulates Sandi Washington, RT(R), Tonya Reado, RT(R), and Kim Clark, RT(R) on their completion of the CT Fellowship course as MEDRelief Staffing sponsored employees. The three completed the course as part of the MEDRelief Staffing Employee Cross-Training sponsorship program. We appreciate their hard work.

MEDRelief Awarded Exclusive Contract
MEDRelief Staffing was recently awarded an exclusive contract to provide staffing services for All About Staffing, the staffing service for HCA, a division of Columbia Health Care. The contracts are for staffing services in Houston, for both radiology and nursing, Dallas, and National Travel.
