Privacy Policy for Employees and Candidates

Advanced Health Education Center/MEDRelief Staffing is committed to protecting the privacy of our employees, our vendors, and our clients in all aspects of business operations. MEDRelief will assure the information we collect about or on behalf of individuals and facilities remains secure and protected while we provide our services. Personal information is only collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

MEDRelief is also committed to the privacy of our web site visitors. AHEC/MEDRelief believes that privacy is crucial for the ongoing success of Internet commerce.  We will use our best efforts to assure that the information submitted to us remains private, and is used only for the purposes it was intended. Statistical information is collected about the use of our web site, but this information is not linked to any unique visitor’s personal information. This information (such as the number of visitors, page-views, and error messages) is used to assure that our site is performing properly.

Personal Information
As health care staffing service provider, presenting candidates and applicants to health care facilities, MEDRelief collects personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, social security numbers, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and previous employment information. We also require copies of your identification, including your driver’s license or passport, state license/certification, social security card, CPR card, and any other health care license or certificate. In addition to your contact information, your resume, and a description of the type of work you are seeking, there are additional requirements to demonstrate competence, experience, and training as required by JCAHO.  Individual health care systems, the state and federal health care facilities, and clinical sites have many different items that they require our service to provide according to our contractual arrangements.  These include certain health information and tests, drug testing, criminal background checks, sexual offenders check, licensure and/or certification verifications, credit checks, verification of social security numbers, reference letters, skill testing results, reference checks/letters, photo identification, and facility performance tests.

We also require payroll information concerning your banking details, tax deductions, your beneficiaries if you are eligible to enroll in our benefits package.

Use of Information
We use your personal information to understand your qualifications, needs, and preferences. We also use it to find you the best job opportunities that will give you the job satisfaction you are seeking. We disclose the information to fulfill our client’s requests for information about your qualifications. And we use it to provide the payroll and other human resource functions required of the staffing office.

MEDRelief never collects more personal information than is required to fulfill these purposes, unless requested by the client and you have given prior consent.

Disclosure of Personal Information
Your personal information will never be traded, sold, or leased by MEDRelief to any external company. Your information is only disclosed for AHEC/MEDRelief’s legitimate business purposes or as required to meet legal and regulatory requirements, for example to comply with a court order.

In the normal course of business, MEDRelief will disclose your personal information to its clients when it is in reference to a potential job opportunity. You rely on us to share such information. We will only share the information when there is an assignment suited to your qualifications, and we will only provide information required and requested for the client to make an informed decision.

We may share information with our affiliates, strategic partners, contractors or other companies that we cooperate with to provide staffing services. Contractors that provide services to AHEC/MEDRelief will receive only the personal information required for the function to be served (accounting, banking, payroll, background checks, etc.). We will also ensure that every contract we enter into with an outside source clearly outlines the obligation to protect your personal information and live up to principles of privacy.

Consent
Having read this policy and by using our services and providing us with your personal information, MEDRelief implies your consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as specified.

MEDRelief Staffing takes reasonable precautions to ensure your privacy on the terms contained in this policy. MEDRelief Staffing uses reasonable efforts to, but cannot totally prevent, unintended disclosures by such means as hackers and other unauthorized individuals, and illicit employee actions.

Retention of Personal Information
We retain your information as long as you are using our staffing services, or longer as required by law. For supplemental staffing, that means we retain your information as long as you remain on our payroll, and for seven years thereafter. For permanent placements, we retain your information for a minimum of one year. Once you stop working, we place your information in the inactive files and to reactivate, new information must be obtained.

Accuracy of Information
MEDRelief relies on the information provided by you, as well as third parties such as those providing references, educational institutions, or those conducting background checks. You may at any time request in writing for access to your personal information. Upon payment of a small administrative fee, we will provide you with a copy of the personal information we have on file that has been submitted by outside sources.

MEDRelief strives to maintain accurate records of your personal information, however, this cannot be achieved without your help. In this ongoing effort, we ask that you provide us with the most up to date information. We also ask that you submit your new licensure or certification credential as soon as you receive it to prevent any interruption in assignments. Please let us know when your personal information is incomplete, inaccurate, or no longer relevant. This is especially true of addresses and phone numbers, especially if you are relying on a cell phone. It will be our pleasure to make the modifications in our database.

MEDRelief takes full responsibility for the management and confidentiality of the personal information it collects. If you have concerns about this policy, or feel that MEDRelief is not abiding by it, please contact our office.
